About Us

What do we do?

The Kula Foundation focuses on children in the age group of 0 to 16 years. We aim to provide associations with direct (occupational therapy) and indirect (training, guidance and support) services.

These vital resources will ensure that the children, and the families,in which they function, receive the necessary early childhood intervention. By preparing children early in life, empowering their parents/caregivers with adapting parenting techniques and supplying them with the support and resources to become a nuclear family, we hope to prepare our children for the future.

We firmly believe in collaboration, empowerment and providing resources to disadvantage communities in order to create a sustainable support system that will continue to exist even without the Kula Foundation.

We therefore support other associations, families and communities (such as children’s homes, safe houses and Early Childhood Development Centres/ECD/Community creches) to enhance the quality of each child’s life.  Not only will this allow sustainable service delivery, but it will also strengthen the links and build bridges between what has already been created – "families".  This will allow us to deliver a seamless system of care.
